Today, is the perfect day to start the process of taking back your health.
Some of you know that for the last two plus years, I have been extremely involved in learning more about natural health options, food choices and the body and mind connection.
How empowering is it to know that not only do we have medical doctors who know more today then ever before through research and testing, but that we also have more knowledge then ever before on holistic options? The holistic natural side gets me excited!
I personally have had amazing results for my body with the holistic approach but life sometimes gets in the way, we get sidetracked as we grow older and help is needed to get us back on track.
So today, I am starting a new journey as I go to an appointment at a wellness center where I will be a brand new patient. I am trusting the universe that making this connection is just what my health needs. New eyes, new thoughts and new ideas to help get me the knowledge I need to get my body back.
I am seeking less pain and a plan to help my body. I feel the answers are close.
Since being a full time pet groomer, I have had neck, back and wrist pain, but it is expected right? I mean I lifted dogs double my weight and invented incredible yoga moves while bathing cats (on the cats, I think I even invented a few new words).
This is different. I have been having upper arm and shoulder pain for several months and I have no idea why, and at this point, I wonder if there is more to it.
I am going in with some knowledge on knowing my own body and using these techniques and books to help guide me.
1) Muscle testing. Have you heard of it? I plan to do a blog on just this subject very soon, it is amazing and empowering and it works. Stand up tall and ask yourself questions. Your body WILL answer. First ask your body to show you a Yes. You should feel your body lean slightly forward. Second ask your body to show you a No. You should feel your body lean slightly back. Yes....this can be a bit unnerving at first, but the more you learn the more it will be a useful health tool. Who knows your own body better then you? Then ask your body a question, be precise and wait for the answer. It is not a tell all but it will guide you as it has me.
2) Here are some amazing books to read for learning more about our mind/body connection and our health as we begin to age. These are books you need to read if you are searching for options with health care and are a woman in your 30's, 40's and beyond......
a) Mind Over Medicine, Scientific proof that you can heal yourself, by Lissa Rankin, M.D.
b) All About Reiki, Beginners guide to discovering Reiki, healing, self treatments, attunements and more, by Timothy Gehrang
c) What Your Doctors May Not Tell You about Premenopause, Balance your hormones and your life from thirty to fifty, by John R Lee, MD, Jesse Hanley, MD and Virginia Hopkins
d) The Tapping Solution, A revolutionary system for stress free living, by Nick Ortner
The moment is now, stop putting it off. Go to your library, a local book store or order online and start reading. Knowledge is power. There is nothing more important then our own health. Our body talks to us and we need to listen.
Have a relaxed, blessed day and I will talk with you soon!
