Book Junkie

"Hello, hello, can you hear me? Sorry if I disturbed you while you were reading".

I am thinking that this week is going to include an awful lot of time spent reading. I don't feel like putting on my cape at all this week to try and find my super powers.

I don't want to tell you everything is going to be all right. I don't want to tell you to do anything or try anything. Nope, because I don't want to do these things either.

Do you know an amazing way to escape and live in another world (even a few minutes here and there) is to pick up a book and start reading.

It does not matter to me what book you grab. But, I will say, if you are not enjoying the view from the visions and thoughts the words give, then put that book down and quickly grab another.

Need some inspiration to choose your next read? Head to your local library or go online to Goodreads or thereadingroom (I'm a big fan of my library and am part of both of these sites). We can be friends here so please add me.

No guilt for us today or tomorrow or the next day. We will read.

Are you feeling my energy through these words? Maybe or maybe not. My energy today is tired. I don't want to pull up my big girl panties and work and I am not in the mood to vacuum, do laundry, or fold the damn cloths just so we can wear them again. I don't want to work on my marketing plan or my sales numbers this week.

I want to be a book junkie, every day all week long. Please grab that book you have wanted to read and haven't for one reason or another.

Ignore the looks and comments you receive from those that think you are crazy or that feel you should do something different. Totally ignore them. However, be kind to those who judge you, they might not yet understand.

Maybe after some time in another place, with a different view, some new imaginary friends and some new thoughts and concepts, we will be ready to take on all the other stuff in our cluttered lives again.

But in reality...I'm not so sure a week is enough please take a look at the list I am going to type below of books that might help you escape, learn something new, grow in spirit, help you believe in you and even fall in love.

Who knows, there may be a few that help you gain a new way to see life as our world seems so judgmental today. So here we go with no ego, no judgment and certainly no hate for anyone, I am here to share compassion, love, respect, support and kindness as we take this journey on the blog to become book junkies.

Ready, set, go! Find a beautiful spot to sit....

Make a cup of tea, coffee or pour a big glass of water, (I add a couple drops of Lemon essential oil) and take a deep breath. It is time to enjoy our new adventures.

This list is a few of the books I have recently read that have stayed with me. I love to read as it gives me comfort just holding the book in my hands. So remember it is ok to take some time for you to curl up and read.
